About The Breeder

IMG_7371.jpg
As a breeder, I'm dedicated to breeding dogs that have the ideal behavioral traits for companions,  therapy, and service dog prospects. We fully health test our breeding dogs in our breeding program, before we plan litters in order to limit genetic diseases that could be passed down to the puppies. Each of our breeding dogs are raised with the utmost care, and attention in order to become well-adjusted and well-trained dogs. New puppy owners and Service dog handlers in need of a companion of the highest quality, will find that my breeding program is reliable and trustworthy. As a professional Dog Trainer and Owner of Brittani's Pawsitive Dog Training, LLC, I know what early training introductions to perform with our puppies. Puppies will go through Temperament testing with a professional trainer; puppy owners will receive a copy of the test. We offer ESI and ESN training to our litters to stimulate their brain. Each of our puppies produced from our program will have lifetime breeder/trainer support. We offer updates during pregnancy and whelping to keep new puppy parents informed. A free training lesson is scheduled on pick up day; we cover potty training instructions, socialization, enrichment information, advice on reducing separation anxiety/ future conditioned behaviors and more! Contact me if you're interested in learning more about the process of our program.

The Trainer Behind The Breeder

My perspective as a breeder is shaped by the work I do every day as a professional dog trainer. Through Brittani’s Pawsitive Dog Training, LLC, I work with dogs with different temperaments, learning styles, and behavioral needs; from family companions learning everyday manners to service dog prospects developing specialized skills to aid a handler with disabilities.

That experience allows me to consider more than how a puppy behaves today. I think about the dog that puppy may become, the home they will live in, and the relationship their family hopes to build.

My Training Philosophy

I believe training should be thoughtful, practical, and tailored to the individual dog. I look at the whole picture: age, temperament, confidence, genetic disposition, motivation, environment, and physical development. Understanding why a dog is struggling helps me decide how to support and train them.

I value clear communication, consistent realistic expectations, and foundations that make everyday life easier. Just as importantly, I believe puppies need time to be puppies. My approach balances learning with play, rest, exploration, and room to mature without rushing expectations.

Experience Beyond the Puppy Stage

My work includes obedience, manners, confidence building, behavior concerns, therapy dog training, dock diving instructing, and service dog task training. I have also been an AKC Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog evaluator since 2018, and I train and participate with my own dogs in activities that challenge their focus, adaptability, and teamwork.

Working with dogs beyond puppyhood gives me insight into the challenges families may face as their dogs grow. It keeps my goals grounded in real life: a dog who can learn, recover from unfamiliar experiences, settle at home, and build a strong working relationship with their person.

How That Shapes My Breeding Decisions

Training gives me opportunities to observe qualities that a photograph, pedigree, opinion, or title alone cannot show. I pay attention to how a dog responds to frustration, handles distractions, approaches unfamiliar situations, and returns to a calm state after excitement.

Those observations inform what I value in my breeding program. Trainability means more to me than learning commands quickly. I also value willingness to engage, adaptability, and a temperament that is enjoyable to live with.

What This Means for Your Family

At Glimmer Goldens, you have a breeder who also understands the work of raising and training a dog through different stages of life. I can help you interpret behavior, set realistic expectations, and make thoughtful decisions about your puppy’s development.

My goal is to bring that practical experience into every conversation; from discussing whether a puppy fits your goals to helping you navigate the dog they become. It is the connection between breeding, training, and everyday life that defines my approach. I offer training services for puppies bred through my program, giving families the opportunity to learn with someone who knows their puppies background and early development. Every puppy bred by Glimmer Goldens receives lifetime breeder and trainer support. Additional training services are arranged separately for obedience, therapy and service dog training- ongoing support is part of my commitment to my puppy families!

Continued Care & Training for Glimmer Puppies

My involvement can continue beyond your puppy’s first eight weeks. I offer additional programs and care options for Glimmer families who would like support with training, puppy raising, and travel.

Service Dog Raise & Train Program

For families seeking a service dog prospect, I offer an extended raise and train program tailored to the individual puppy and the future handler’s needs. Your puppy stays with me while we build foundations in obedience, confidence, public-access skills, and eventually individualized task training. Training progresses at a pace that respects the puppy’s physical and emotional development. Suitability is evaluated throughout the program, as not every prospect will mature into a successful service dog.

Puppy Foundations: 8–12 Weeks Program

Families can choose to have their puppy remain with me from eight to twelve weeks of age for additional training during this early stage.

This program focuses on potty training, crate training, basic commands, age-appropriate socialization, and building comfort spending time independently. We also work on redirecting puppy biting and encouraging appropriate chewing habits during teething.

My goal is to establish helpful routines and foundations that make the transition home easier and give families a starting point for continued training.

Boarding for Glimmer Families

Traveling families can bring their Glimmer-bred puppy or dog back to a familiar caregiver. I offer discounted boarding for dogs bred through my program, subject to availability, so your dog can receive care from someone who knows their background.

Grooming: A Future Offering

I look forward to adding grooming services for Glimmer puppies and dogs as another way to support their ongoing care. Details and availability will be shared when this service becomes available.

Availability & Booking

Spots are limited and require advance booking. If you’re interested in the service dog raise and train program or the 8–12 week Puppy Foundations program, please reach out before your puppy’s scheduled go-home date so we can discuss your goals and reserve a spot. Lifetime breeder and trainer support remains part of my commitment to every Glimmer-bred puppy and their family.
